Thanks for using Reported to submit 311 complaints about NYC taxis, Ubers, cars, trucks and buses to help make the streets safer for passengers, pedestrians and cyclists.

Reported lets you submit official 311 complaints about NYC taxis, cars, trucks, and buses in 30 seconds. Reported submits directly to NYC's 311 system and the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission (if appropriate). We want to make our streets safer for pedestrians, cyclists and passengers and hold dangerous drivers accountable.

This update fixes a few issues in the last release and adds some new functionality:

We now support adding the license state! The list of states shows the top 10 most common states, followed by options for USPS, NYPD and No plate (if the vehicle has no plate or the plate is unknown), followed by the remaining states in alphabetical order.

Fixed a problem with license plate validation. Now you can change the plate and it should work fine.

You can upload multiple photos

The start screen now has a big button to Add Photo to begin the submission process so it's simpler.

We reduced the complaint options to the ones that are most used.

You can now add a photo that does not have a visible license plate, and then add it later (if your photo is a side view, for example)

This release fixes and improves a number of things in the Reported app, to make it easier than ever to report drivers blocking bike lanes in NYC.

You can now update the address to make sure it's accurate
To make it easier to know that the location is correct, there's now a map in the photo carousel so you can see your report's location.

Email your feedback to reportedapp@gmail.com 2.2.0 02/23/2019 Removed unused code 2.1.3 02/09/2019 Fixed a major bug with the location selection screen in which the pin was not oriented properly. If you modified the address of your submissions, the addresses would be off by at least 10-15 blocks.

This release fixes this gnarly bug and also massively improves the screen with the Google Places so you can confidently select an address, business or area where the incident took place. 2.1.2 02/05/2019 Added login functionality. 2.1.1 01/23/2019 First update of the new year! Improvements you'll notice:
- Removed the taxi color selection buttons. You can now, in fewer clicks, submit a complaint about *any* vehicle type, not just taxis and For-Hire-Vehicles (FHVs) such as Ubers. Next time you see a delivery truck in the bike lane, feel free to report it.
- Added the "Notes" field for the 311 status. When you tap an existing complaint's Service Request number from 311, it'll expand to show you the more information on the status of your complaint.

- Removed redundant data from getting submitted to our backend
- Added location object geopoint (for future push notifications)
- Improved authentication
- Upgraded several libraries and Swift to 4.2

Now when you create a new report, the address of the location will be validated and displayed correctly. 2.0.6 10/07/2018 This update includes several minor improvements:

- Updates the backend naming from "walker" to the more accurate term, "pedestrian"
- On the news feed, sorts by incident timestamp, rather than the date when the report was submitted to the app.
- Photo button now says photo is "recommended" instead of "optional". It's always a good idea to submit a clear photo or video.
- Removes the word "Cab" from the vehicle type field so now it will just say "Yellow" or "Black" and for non-cabs it will say "private" or "commercial". More to come.
- Updates the privacy policy to more accurately reflect upcoming changes on where and how these reports are submitted.
- For reports that have a 311 Service Request number, you can now also see "Notes to Customer" field from 311. We have overhauled the entire app to make it much faster and easier to submit and manage reports as well as see what the community is reporting!

- Report Creation: We simplified the report process to just a single screen. If you upload a photo we’ll automatically extract the location and time! It’s magical. Identify if you were cycling, walking or a passenger.
- Management: We have a brand new dashboard that shows all the reports you’ve made, grouped by their status. You can now easily change the status of your reports to better track them and access them later on. You can change a report to: Summons Issued, Hearing Scheduled, Driver Paid Summons, Unable to ID Driver, Driver Pled Not Guilty, and No Reason/Archive.
- Community: We created a beautiful community feed that shows you all the reports that have been made. You can view them in a list or on a map, with photos! Check out the kinds of reports that have been made by other New Yorkers.

- When you file a report, it usually takes a few hours to submit your report into 311. Reports that have not yet been submitted to 311 and are in a “Pending” state can be deleted.
- We added several new types of complaints that more clearly align with what people are submitting including: “Blocking bike lane”, “Blocked crosswalk” and “Failed to yield to a pedestrian/bike”.
- Photos! Videos! If you submit a photo or video, you can view it in the details screen so you can easily reference it anytime. You can even click on a photo to zoom in and out or click a video to play it back.
- Now you can click on the service request number to quickly check the status of your report from 311 directly.
- If you’re OK with your anonymous report being shown in the community feed (time, location, category, photo and description) then check the toggle. You can always turn it off to keep your report private.
